First off, I'd like to say that I hate the way musician's biographies usually read. They come out sounding like shameless self-promotion. I don't want my bio to be that way. I don't want to promote myself at all really; my objective is to draw attention to Jesus.
I've played the piano since I was 9, guitar since I was 12, and been singing since I can remember. I am self-taught on all instruments.

My father committed suicide when I was 12, so I used music as an escape from the hurt that accompanied me. Many times I would play the piano for 8 hours a day in solitude.

I met the Lord working on the beach one summer as a beach attendant/life-guard. The Father simply revealed himself to me one day in a personal way that I will never forget. I repented of my sins and he changed me completely.

Within the very first week that I decided to follow Jesus, I discovered some music by an artist named Keith Green. His music was very instrumental in my life, always challenging me with such honest lyrics. Inspired by such honest and challenging music, I immediately began writing songs about following Jesus. Music is something I love, especially if it is helping people by pointing them to Jesus.

WORKING IN CHURCH MUSIC

I've been singing and playing at different churches here in Destin, Florida where my wife, Jamie, and I reside. I've also worked in music ministry at two different churches here in the city as assistant music minister at one and music minister at the other.

I've never been the type who wanted to be a "rock-star" and have millions scream my name, so I've always tried to be very low-key with my music. In 2005, when my wife and I left the last church, I made up my mind not to pursue church music as a career any longer. I started a landscaping company instead of going after music.

THE AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT

After 8 months of working as a landscaper, my wife and I were involved in a nearly fatal car accident that totaled my truck and all of my lawn equipment. A man driving behind us, on the interstate, fell asleep at the wheel and collided into our truck. I lost my entire business in a few moments.

On the drive back home from the disaster I could feel God urging me to do something with my music. I felt as if he were using the car accident to get my attention and direct me to use the talent he gave me to help people know him deeper.

Due to the leading of my heavenly Father I created this site. I'm not trying to be famous. In fact I don't even want to be famous. All I want to do is to use the gift that the Father gave me to help people know him deeper and to glorify him.
